Pepwear
Corporate headquarters and production facility for PepWear in Cedar Hill, built in 2010 and expanded by 20,000 sq ft in 2016 as the custom apparel company grew.
PepWear sells custom apparel and awards at roughly 700 youth events a year, and its Cedar Hill headquarters has grown right alongside the business. Nationwide built the original 32,000 sq ft pre-engineered facility in 2010 after coming in well below two other bids, and the in-house design team turned CEO Craig Johnson's ideas into plans virtually overnight.
The building was deliberately designed to expand, and in 2016 Nationwide returned to add another 20,000 sq ft of warehouse. Today the facility houses screen printing, embroidery, plaque production, and 9,000 sq ft of office, and when the city building department pushed back during permitting, Nationwide argued the owner's case and usually won.
