Ivan Smith Furniture

Ivan Smith Furniture had been family-owned since 1961, but Mansfield was new territory where nobody knew the name. The store had to sell itself from the road, so the design stretched the building long across the property to look as big as possible to passing traffic.

When the brothers arrived for the bid meeting, Tony had already done his homework: a full rendering of the store on their exact lot was waiting on the conference room screen, and the final building changed very little from it. They closed on the property in April 2019, broke ground in July, and had possession the first week of January, months ahead of the March or April they had braced for.
