A ground-up headquarters and production facility for Compressed Air Systems in Mansfield, the biggest single building project in the company's history.
Troy Ratterree started his company at a card table at Traders Village. This building, the largest project in Compressed Air Systems' history, is the other end of that story: modern offices, air-conditioned production space, and finish details like rounded sheetrock corners that nobody asked for but everybody notices.
The site had a surprise waiting: a six-inch fire main laid across the building pad in the 1970s that had to be rerouted to the property line. Add COVID-era shortages of everything from light switches to sink faucets, and the job demanded flexibility. From dirt to done ran about eight to nine months, and Ratterree's summary of the crew was simple: you couldn't find a better group of people to deal with, straight up.
