“When the designer and the builder are different companies, the customer gets caught in the middle. Tony does both. He stands behind his work, and I got real value and a good price.”
Aerospace
BP Aero is a full service aviation solutions provider offering engine teardowns, engine part overhaul, accessory overhaul, engine hospital shop repairs and field service.
BP Aerospace's Irving site looked nearly unbuildable: long and narrow, wedged between an existing industrial neighbor and a creek in the flood plain. Nationwide excavated down 27 feet to reach good earth and recompacted thousands of yards of soil so the slab would hold under jet engines arriving on trailers at up to 20,000 pounds.
The result is a high-bay facility with 34-foot clear spans, nine-inch-thick paving, and a floor plan designed with a fallback: electric panels at all four corners so the building could divide into four office-warehouses if the business ever changed. President Dennis Walsh, who had built with a competitor before, rated Nationwide's concrete crews first class.
